And soon to have my:
Ground Disturbance
H2S (Hydrogen Sulfied)

This was all provided for me through the company i work for... and all i do is wash the (semi) trucks:D

Yea something along those lines. At my job they've always just been called tickets.
"You have your confined spaces ticket right?"
"Yes"
"Hop up inside that tank and go to the agitator motor...."

I guess thats not the proper name for them but oh well.

Like a forklift ticket

you need tickets to get another job if you quit, just having the training doesn't do anything

Every place I've ever worked has given me WHMIS training, where do you actually need to have a ticket for it? Oil and Gas?

whmis is needed in more places than oil and gas sometimes...it depends on the company and how often youwill be dealing with chemicals and hazardous substances

They can be had at many different places. I beleive SAIT offeres them. Other places like carreer training places will offer them too. WHMIS is offered pretty much anywhere you work. If you go to a place that requires you to transfer dangerous goods then a specialised TDG will be offered. The crack testing i took at sait and was pricey lol. Just over $1000 after book rental. And the PFE joining cert was taken while i worked for Flint Energry. All of there new shallow gas wells are tied in with POLY pipe.

I thought you had to get training such as WHIMIS and Confined Spaces for your specific company. Like if you took those courses through SAIT or some third party place they wouldnt be valid tickets at your company because it needs to be specific to your job.... if that makes sense.

Thats how it was explained to me at least

spike98

whimis is pretty much standard everywhere as well as confined space. Its TDG that is more company specific because each company will teach you a different version that goes through the chemicals you would likely handle.
