When I worked in a bodyshop I saw the quotes for certain things here and there - a repaint of something like a hood and fender would be about 300 or so.. If you can find a shop you know (family/friend) or something that'll do it, you're looking at about that.

Hell, I'm looking at 1200 for a door to be done.. I wouldn't expect to pay less then 300-400..

Do you have a garage? I know a backyarder who does extremely good work and he doesn't charge much either.

i don't understand why it would cost 1200 to repaint a door,.....these cars aren't worth more than 12000, fuck if you wanted to repaint the whole thing at that price, you could just buy a new one!

Let insurance take care of it. Accidents are cheap now with the new laws.

my premiums would shoot through the roof if i take this through insurance, i think it would be better off if we did this ourselves..

That would probably run you over $1000 for repairs to repaint the bumper and quarter panel.
