Dodge Stealth Vs Mitsu 3000 gt

Im interested in buying either one of these cars. I know they are pretty much the same car but i would like to know what differences there are between the two? Do they have the same motor in it and is the reliabilty of the two cars the same? The 3000gt sells for a lil more. Any help would be helpful thanks.

The exterior is different, while the engine and underpinnings are exactly the same. AFAIK, the only difference is the body panels.

Some body parts are different. The front and rear bumpers are interchangeable. The back ends (from the bumper up) are completely different. The 3000GT also had active aero control (rear wing adjustment) whereas the stealth did not.

Very fun cars.... I had a 95 Stealth TT for 5 years and had very little trouble with it. The only time it was in the shop was for mods.

One thing you should know... these cars are very heavy. Mine was weighed on two different scales and it came in at 4570lbs... But it ran a low 13 1/4 mile with just a few light mods and a boost adjustment

The biggest difference is simply the price. Then again you don't see a 3000GT every week unlike a stealth where you see at least once a day.

4570 POUNDS????? Are you telling me you weigh over 700 pounds? Cause they weigh in at 3800 stock.

Anyways, they are nice cars, I was looking at getting one a while ago, but good luck trying to find one in good condition. The 1st gen's had some transmission problems with a weaker output shaft as well.

They are basically the exact same cars, but the 3k's are rarer so therefore more expensive. The 3000gt stopped production in 99 and the Stealth stopped in 96.

3800 was the list... but actually weigh it and it is way more..

I weighed mine at several weigh scales and it was never more than 3900 lbs....with me in it.......

91-92 had a 18 spline output shaft, 93+ had a much stronger 25 spline. Stock boost on a 91-93 is 9 psi, whereas 94+ had and extra 2 psi or 20 hp.... (easy to make the 1st gen the same tho)

I ve had 2... GREAT cars, and easy to mod to blow the doors off MOST car on the street.... AWD is wonderful.

yeah i don't know why mine was so heavy.... big stereo with lots of dynamat doesn't help.
