just wondering if any of you snowboarders out there could give me some tips in repairing my snowboard. I have some fairly deep scratches and a number surface scratches. None have gone as deep as the core but still would really like to repair them. What do repair shops use to fill the scratches?, someone told me to buff the scratches up a bit and use hot glue...wasnt too sure about this so I havent tried it. But yeah any advice would be appreciate. And also sharpening my edges, what tools are used?, is it very difficult?. Thanks in advance!

to fill scratches and gashes you need something called petec. It's a plastic type stick that you melt into the voids to fill them. I'm sure if you google it you'll find more info.

If the scratches are long but not deep petex isn't going to stick in the base very well if at all. Take ur board in for a stone grind once at the end of every season. the deep gouges are ideal for petex.
