When you say "fully tuned KA"....what tuning has been done?

takeshi
11-16-2005, 04:30 PM
Its been through a tune up? lol I would never keep that engine, SR-20 is the way to go.

Anton

I think he means that the engine was tuned, like the idle adjustment maybe or something??? Maybe new spark plugs? I doubt he means internals or anything.

Saw car in person...looks amazing. If I had money it'd be gone. Good guy too! GL with sale.

This car is mint and the owner takes good care of the car.

An excellent candidate for RB25 or 26 engine swap. Even the leather is in good shape.

So many people looking for S14's and this is about as good as it gets.

Good luck with the sale Paul, you should keep the car.

How is this an s14.5? I think you mean s14a because I don't see an s15 conversion

S14.5 are the 97-98 models. They had a different front end design from the S14. S15's never made it to Canada.

S14b is the 95-96 (Zenki body) and the S14a is the 97-98 (Kouki body)..but this is for just silvia's from japan. In north america this car just has the chassis code S14 and didn't change for the 240SX from 95-98... just to actually clarify...

Front end is a little different between S14.5 and S15. They're similar though. A far cry from the S14 front end.

I did a lil researching just to be sure and I was right...a s14.5 is s15 front end conversion/headlights on a s14 chassis

He probably just didn't know, I don't think that he'd try to trick someone on a site where people know their cars.

Guys, help a guy out in a useful way, not debate over a decimal and a five. Just think of it as a 1997 240SX

Gl selling and you might be able to sell it faster if you post on buysell.com (it only costs $21 for an add with a picture) or autotrader.ca since some rich kids might be asking their parents for a car for Christmas...

an s14 is an s14, regardless if it is zenki or kouki

From wikipedia:

1995-1998 "S14"

The 240SX was redesigned with the Zenki Silvia body in spring 1994 as an early 1995 model. The hatchback and convertible were gone, leaving only the coupe. Aside from adding dual air bags and normal headlights, the S14 was almost the same car as the S13, but steering became slower and handling softer, lowering its fun-to-drive factor. Note that there was now a difference between base and SE models, the former having having 15-inch wheels (vs. 16s), a softer suspension, and missing a rear stabilizer bar. Antilock brakes and a limited-slip differential came as a package. In 1997 it sported the S14A Kouki Silvia body style (aggressive projector headlights, new front bumper, hood, fenders, revised taillights, curved rocker panels, along with side skirts on SE and LE trim levels). 1998 was the last year the 240SX was ever produced.

I always thought 97-98 was referred to as S14.5 - I guess I learned something today. Looks like the correct term is S14A. Sweet looking car no matter what it's called. Good luck with the sale.

We'll stop whoring your thread now, sorry.

O and by the way if anyone ever had a 1997 240 and did a s15 swap i would personally go to their door and punch them in the face.
I put s14.5 because thats what everyone else calls my car, I already changed the subject heading but it doesn't show for some reason??
