this is my first time doing this.

im following a haynes manual, the wire harness and ground wire have been pulled, along with the adjusting bolt and pivot bolt. but the thing is still snug in there, the only thing that could be holding it in is the belt, according to the book im at the point where is should just slide out, but since that is never the case ive wd40'd the pivot points and smashed it around with a rubber mallet... im going to try to see if i can take the pulley off incase it is the just the belt holding it in which i doubt, but does anyone else have any ideas

there is 3 bolts you need to remove, one not really mentioned is on the underside of the alternator: the pivot, adjusting and one more. The haynes manual mentions it briefly with no picture, remove that then wiggle it alot and it will come out.
