UTStarcom (formerly Audiovox) launches new pda

The UTStarcom is a Wireless High Speed ready device - providing internet access at speeds similar to high speed wired connection. The UTStarcom 6700 features the new Microsoft Windows Mobile 5.0 software, with updated Microsoft Office applications including Outlook Mobile and the introduction of PowerPoint Mobile for viewing presentations while on the go and Excel Mobile with enhanced attachment viewing capability.

I had this in my hands a few days ago, not a big fan. I like the 6600 more, though the stylus coming out of the antenna is interesting.

Inevitable Telus was going to carry this one after they released the Treo.

Gotta have something to appeal to the Palm crowd and the Windows crowd. Nice that this has the 5.0 software....heard good things about it. I wanna play with this when we get it in my store.

nice unit...the only thing that i have heard bad about it is the battery life.

I still have to use a smart phone that will last me more than 2 days. BB 7100 series, with EVDO will probably kill the battery even worse.

Focus:

Anybody have a launch date for the 6700 yet?


edit: nevermind, i clicked on the link and i guess it's already available.

hmm just checked out the telus webpage and it looks like telus has crippled the bluetooth function...
