Saw this at the Crowfoot Co-op on Sunday. First one I've seen in person. Not as cool as a Ferrari is or something but just something I found interesting cuz we NEVER or RARELY ever see these around. Has Alberta plates btw.

The xB's have been on sale for a while now, but it's marked up like crazy. They're everywhere down in the U.S. though.

They've been selling xA's and xB's at a few Toyota dealers for awhile now...with the massive markup.

I saw a tC in Van but it had Washington plates on it :( I don't think we'll be able to buy them in Canada as I heard they didn't pass the Canadian crash standards or something like that.

I saw a tC in vancouver... and there's a couple xB's out here in signal hill.. I've seen quite a few of them already.. it's nothing special right? echo engine I think.. I mean, if you're gonna deck it all out west coast style... I guess that's the only thing you can look forward to other than being only one of a few on the road for now.. :dunno:

tC's are the same as th european Aveon (?), anyhow, they don't conform with canadian DOT specs.....Of course, they are fine in the US because they have the same specs as the TUV....same reason we can't get R32 VW's and various other vehicles the US can.....Canada sucks balls for its crash ratings (as low speed ratings are hardly ineffective in saving lives)

As far as I was aware, the RIV only allows Xb's to be imported? And the only reason there's such a huge markup is because people are too lazy to go down south and buy one themselves. You can get one all jazzed up, brand new to your specs, for <23k CDN

You have the insurance companies' lobbying to blame for that one. They don't want to be paying out big $$ everytime there's a low speed accident. We don't get the EVO because of this. I'm suprised that the SRT-4 made it....that FMIC can't be cheap to replace.

Remember, the TUV is the one who let

^^^that^^^ monstrosity death box on wheels pass crash tests....too bad it's the low speeds that kill it, but I'd rather have a SAFE vehicle. Low speed stuff is bullshit however.
