Where to buy parts?

For you guys who work on your cars yourself, where do you get parts from?

This is for generic items like oil filter/alternator/thermostat type of stuff, not the specialty parts that you'd have to get from the dealer.

Stealership/NAPA/local shop?

Any good online places in Canada?

I've always got my parts through NAPA. They always have the generic replacement parts that I need.

Really depends on the car and the part you are looking for... for some things, I am stuck going to the dealership. I get lots from aftermarket tuning shops like Speedtech, and maintenance stuff from Canadian Tire and PartSource.

I get all mine from myself :rofl: TUNERWORKS! We sell a huge amout of replacement and maintenance parts for all imports.

NAPA and BMW do not mix :thumbsdow

I get mine from CMS, Dieter specifically, can order anything I need, got a waterpump for me for cheaper then anyone else had. Gotten other parts from him and will continue to as well.

Tell him James with the BMW sent you and he'll hook you up good.
