quick question:

I was driving tonight, cop pulls me over,
Sir your registration expired 3 days ago. Here's the good news and the bad news, I can A)tow your car B)give you a ticket

umm i'll take the ticket sir:

end.

If i take my registration into the station tomorrow and say it was in the car, but this was the first time its been driven in a week and i forgot, will they let me off right there?????

i was not driving me jeep either, i was driving my moms car at the perfect speed with multiple cars going faster than the limit beside me. I think ryans EP3 even cruzed by me right before southland! ERRRG.

Haha, yeah man. You lying to us Jonny? I thought you parked your car?

The CP will probably pretty lenient if it's just 3 days expired.

Never mind. I just read that you weren't driving your car.

Seems to me that if you're getting pulled over in all these different cars, it's not the car that's causing it. Maybe it's yourself that's drawing in the cops.

*edit* You neglected to tell us it was a Jaguar you were driving.

 17 days ago??...OOPS!!!. Theres no point taking it in, the renewal dat is on the bottom of the registration. If they wanna get smart they can run your plate via the registries system and even find out the exact time it was renewed.

No really worth looking stupid over...go pay the $230.00

oh shit that was you lol.... i was getting super paranoid that he was gonna pull me over cause my lights/tint/exhaust.... he tailed me for quite a while, thought he was just waiting for me to do something dumb, then he flashed his lights and pulled you over.... shitty deal.

and the speed limit is 60, i was only going 60-65.

and i got the same ticket a year or so back and they wont drop shit if you take it down to the cop station.... only thing you can do is go talk to the crown and get it reduced.

Well, pay the fine, and if you go to a crown, you can make a payment schedule. Best thing ever invented was "first appearance crown!"

no not at all, thats why i was happy when he said "I have good news and bad new" and the good news was that because i was so polite he wouldn't tow my car, bad news was that i had a ticket to fight

there are 2 charges. driving unregistered, and no proof of registration. if the car is registered but you didnt have the papers, you can get it reduced to the lesser charge of failure to provide proof.

Go talk to the crown, if it was your moms car and you were using to visit her at the hospital or whatever you may be able to get out of it completely being not your car, therefor not your registration and not your responsibility to renew the registration.
