Another movie conversion thread...

I've got a movie file thats too big to make a vcd so it needs to be burned on a dvd. What program do you all use or recommend to convert these files to dvd format, and put them on a dvd?

Anyone have the full version of Nero? It'll work will it not? What other programs are there that are fairly easy to use and work well? I've got Nero (that comes with new burning drives) Alcohol 120, Ahead DVD ripper, but none of these do the trick.

nero vision is what you need
simply load the video file in and click burn and itll convert and burn it to dvd

how is it too big? is it too long or is the file size too big (higher quality)
i use the tsunami suite

nero has many versions. you'll need the dvd/mpeg2 plugin before proceeding with it. if you use the suite or something similar, it creates ifo/vobs for you to drag into dvd-video

Its a full movie, 'The Beach'.

Either way, i downloaded Nero 7 Suite and it worked great, took a few hours to burn, but worked great.
