That's awesome ... go rotary! Heh heh ... Mazda should get into bikes to fill this niche market, eh? I totally get one (too lazy to build one myself).

that would be unreal  probably could pack a huge punch since they are so compact.. plus think of how much those rotaries like the rev...

Imagine a 20B on a bike ... ouchie!

on a side note, at the 2004 Autoshow in Toronto, I remember seeing a bike that had the V10 (?) viper engine on it ... obviously not production or anything but you should have seen the tires and the size of the monster.

The RX-8 revs to like 9000rpm, good for a car. The new R1 (maybe R6... I forgot ;)) revs to 17,500rpm. Biiig difference.

Ya but a rotary built specifically for a bike would probably rev much higher. Because of the inherent design you should be able to build a rotary to rev much higher than any piston engine.

Rotten ... that's the VIPER bike! I ran out of batteries in my cam so i never got to take a pic of it. I assume it was here in Calgary as well.

Iceburns ... the RX8 Renesis engine revs to only 9000 because of the rev limiter placed on it. Long term test on the Renesis have shown it to rev well past 9000 without any trouble. oh and don't forget that 9000 rpm at the crank in reality is only 3000 rpm at the rotors. Regardless ... zoom!
