stuck at 120mph

i have a 95 accord.... the car worked fine now the last few week the car would not go above 120mph even tho it can go 140...when going at 120mph it like jerks and just jerks until i slow down what could be wrong?

If your going 240 on a resular basis and it suddenly cuts down to 200 I guess your going to have to get up a little bit earlier to get to work on time. Consider the recent reduction in top speed luck. You'll die 40kms/hr slower.

hey sometimes you just want a thrill not like i drive this on normal streets no way on evern everyday

whats the use of putting all these mods in to ur car spending thousand for turbo, nos, etc for what you gotta use it one day just at teh rigth time and place

Word. Does U.S have a different governor(sp?) too because 95 accords are only suppose to top 195km/h. Personally I think anytime you go past 100 mph and get in an accident your chances to live are pretty slim.

turbos pay for themselves with the spooling sound all the time, and the BOV. NOS is for posers nowadays, F&F kinda wrecked the joy of the bottle :rolleyes:

darklimits: have you curbed a rim or tire recently? You could have a resonance vibration at 120 mph causing your car to not want to acellerate more, plus jerking, etc.

The meter max out at 140 does not mean the car can go 140... you probably just ran out of gear by 120...

Hell my minivan "max out" at 200KM but i have yet to be able to take it over 160...:rolleyes:

yeah my speedo only goes to 180, i almost hit that in the quarter mile in 4th speedo has nothing to do with it

b_t knows his shit when it comes to turbo's, and i think he is doing pretty well considering he built his turbo kit by himself, his turbo isnt completed and he is already pulling harder then most TSI's.

speed limiter. were you in the red already? if red already then you just hit redline and ran out of gear.

just dont speed like that or anywhere close to that speed on streets and bad conditioned roads or weather.
