Removing Spyware

Alrite so my comp is being flooded with spyware and need to
know the best spyware removal software out there or like
one that you guys use that is very effective. Tell me what you
guys have on your comps..thanks

u cant get rid of all of em

All you need to protect yourself is one, and that would be Microsoft Antispyware. I clean computers daily, and MS Antispyware is the best to defend against them. If you already have a lot however, then use HijackThis and other tools to clean your system.

i really like hijackthis - but it is easy to remove things that are not spyware if you don't know what you're doing.

spybot/adaware are the tried and true ones that most people use.

The best method is not to download and install everything you see on the internet.

run in safe mode and run your scans youll be surprised how many are still there when you finished scanning normally

Spybot, and Microsoft anti-spyware. And no spybot does not bring spyware onto your system.

use http://hijackthis.de/ in conjunction with the actual program.

paste the log there and it will tell you what is safe, and what is not. plus it has user comments on some unknown stuff and how to fix problems.

Download trial of Spysweeper (awesomem program, Futureshop sells), update definitions, adjust msconfig and then go to safe mode. Scan and remove. Go to normal mode. Scan and remove.

Scan with trend in both modes, scan with panda in both modes. And whatever is unremovable- do a manual removal or format.

this is by far BETTER than Norton Anti-Virus. It scans better and catches some things that can't be detected using Norton. It's free and its online whenever you need it. HTH.:thumbsup:
