ok wanted to upgrade to a P4 3.0+ Ghz, HT, 2MB L2 Cache, and 800MHz FSB
also, DDR2 SDRAM and SATA hard disks
and of course i really want to overclock
now for the mobo...
is the abit fatal1ty good?
is ASUS a good brand for overclocking?
if so what model?
if not whats my best bet?
i'm also on a fairly tight budget for this stuff so i cant go all out :(
but i still want my computer to be :burnout: :burnout: fast

ASUS P5ND2-SLI check it out
and for overclocking pentium doesnt really need to be oced if you want that kind of thrill go with amd

Yes. ABIT is renowned as the leading manufacturer of motherboards with overclocking abilities. You can find the reivews for the AMD and Intel versions here:

The general impression is that's it's over priced and over rated.
Like it was already suggested, go with AMD. Faster and you won't run into the cooling problems associated with a Intel 3.0.

I've been wary of ABIT ever since they started shifting production to ECS's factories. Go Asus !
