I'm looking for anybody with an older Civic, that has 13" or 14" alloys and low pro tires? I want to get a set of alloys for it, but I want them to be wide enough to be flush with the fenders, and I need the tire size that fits nicely. I'd like the tires and wheels to be as wide as possible, but not sticking out. the car isn't lowered, and won't be, just a daily driver that i want to make look a little better. Its got 175/70/13's on it now on the stock steel rims, so whatever width I go with, I want the diameter to say about the same. If you have any info I'd appreciate it, thanks.

If you were local, I'd sell you my 91 CRX Si alloys(saw-blade style).

My old Si had 16x7 wheels with a 40 mm offset and 205-40/16 rubber. No problems with rubbing or clearance after lowering, and they fit slightly inside the fenders but increased torque steer.

The 205-40/16 tires are about 1/4" shorter in overall height than the stock 185-60/14. I thought about 205-45/16, but they would be 1/2" taller than stock. I think 205 is about the widest you can go without doing any modifications to the fenders.

However, 195-50/15 on a 15x6 wheel is the ideal setup for a 91 Si in terms of handling and performance. Of course 15" won't look as good as 16" or larger rims.
