Has anybody taken the Welding Engineering Technology course at SAIT?

If so:
Would you recommend the course?
How are the job opportunities, pay, work environment, etc?

I live with some welders in my dorms at Nait here. They are just 2nd year welders.

One of them runs his own truck, and claims he makes about 1000 dollars a day before expenses.

My friends dad is a welder, and they are pretty loaded.

You can make serious cash, becoming a welder. More than you could with computers.

But I hear the work is hot and can get boring.

In my Power Engineering, we had to take a class of welding, and it was pretty fun, but can be repetitive.
