I am giving my dog away to a good home. She is a 4 year old german short haired pointer cross. She has been spayed, all shots up to date and is completely house trained. She gets along well with cats and other dogs. I have never had her around children but I can't see it being a problem. Who ever gets her is lucky, she is a great dog, and because I work so much, I have decided to giver her away.
Pm me for photos, I am at work now so I can't post any right now.
Call 860-1637 for inquiries.

How large of a dog is she?
Shed?
Long or short hair?

she isn't that large, i would say medium, around 50 lbs. short hair and yup she sheds, not light fluffy hair that floats, so esy to keep up after her.

She does shed, pretty much all of them do. She listens to all commands, just doesn't roll over for some reason, and she never pee's when she sees someone. She is an awesome dog and whoever gets her is lucky.

how long have you had her? if you've had her since a puppy seperation anxiety could be a HUGE factor to the dog's health.

i have had her for almost 2 years. i am the second owner. i really want to keep her, but i am going through a divorce and took on more hours at work. i am only able to see her for a couple of hours a night, and that isn't right.
the only stipulation that i am going to have with the new owner is, that i get to come by after a couple of weeks to make sure she is being taken care of. just a one time thing, don't want to be a pest, just care where she is going.

I appreciate that, I can't believe no one wants her. I know it's only been a day or so, but man, this dog is awesome. She listens, doesn't eat much(on a diet - 1 cup in morning 2 cups at supper), very affectionate and really smart.

3 cups of food a day, a diet? sounds like a bit much for a ~50lb dog.
is she well mannered as far as barking in the house, say if she saw another dog outside? is she currently allowed on all furniture?

I don't allow her on furniture, she has her own blankets and foam filled pad thingy. If she see's a dog outside, she talks to it, doesn't bark but talks, kinda strange to hear but nonetheless funny. I haven't had her around children. A guy I work with brought over his 7 year old and she didn't do anything, but anyone smaller than that, I would have no idea. She doesn't jump up on people, so I wouldn't worry about that. She does like to rub up against you when getting pet, the 50ish pounds she does way is pure muscle, she is very strong. So if she rubbed up on a kid, she could knock em down and then lick them too death.

The amount of food you feed a dog all depends on the brand of food. My German Shephard is 77 lbs and eats less then 3 cups a day. On a different brand she was suppose to eat over 5 cups (and she did)
Thats a little off topic though I will ask around, I would love to take her myself but my boyfriend put his foot down at 3 dogs :(
Hope you find her a great home!

Do you think I could hang out with her for a couple hours just to see what she's like? (maybe sunday?) If my mom doesn't mind having her around I'll definately give her a home!!
Actually if you're not busy tonight and live close by (SW) maybe I could come say hi tonight.

i dunno, but to whoever is thinking about taking this dog:
make sure you're serious. she's already had 2 owners and you'll be the third, if you give up on her she's going to turn out like some foster home kid who has been shipped from one place to anoother it's whole life
people don't understand how big of a responsibility owning an animal is.... it's pretty much like having a kid
