hey

i have been thinkin about startin to ref hockey lately. obviously starting at like tyke and what not. just wondering if anyone knows any links with info and when they hold training here and what not. any info on how to get started would be appreciated, thanks!

no worries, and central zone onyl deals with higher up reffing, communities do novice, tyke etc, so if you want to start a lil lower talk to westwood or psa etc and inquire about reffing, you still need to take the clinic but its a good way to start

Ref'ing is definitely something you have to do for the love of the game, not for the money.

I'm not sure how much they get paid, but I remember a while ago it was like $12.50 per game. Just take it as a hobby you do in your free time.

It's a great way to stay involved in hockey and make a positive contribution to the game.

yeah, thats why i want to do it, this is my second year that i'm not playin organized hockey, and i'm suffering from withdrawl, haha.

the moneys not great but its not bad, i get about 40 a game reffing midget and bantom A here for 2 hours, it goes down as the levels decrease
