Canmore Nordic Centre - XC skiing

Has anyone gone cross country skiing here? I know this is suppose to be a world's class facility as the 1988 Olympics and this year World's scheduled for next month.

How are the trails? Are there novice trails or all intermediate/advanced?

the trails are great for xc sking, as well as biking in the summer.. there are hard cources with lots of elevation chnages, and some beg. ones that have wide turns, and little elevation change.

I've never been there myself, but everything I hear is its more geared towards racing and training and stuff. You can certainly do recreational stuff too, but IMO you might as well go on a back country trail and enjoy the wilderness and scenery.

Hmm, that's what I was thinking that the centre is definately more geared to pro's or atheletes training...

The World Cup is this weekend, actually started today for training.

Might have to go out there and watch this.

I raced in canmore for years. lots of trails, best facility of its kind. always good grooming, challenging trails, nice and quiet...
