Hey all, new to the site, and the city... First wanted to give a hello to all of ya.

Now, to the business end of the thread. I want to know where i would be able to track down an import (honda/acura) junkyard. I need to source an IACV (idle air control valve) for my car.

i can use any b-series IACV, so a junkyard with a couple 94+ integras would be mint.

Let me know if you have any advice.

Yeah there are a few pick n pulls around, which is great if you own a 1980 Pickup that you need ot get back on the road, but import parts from wrecks will most likely only be avaialbale from over-the-counter type parts places. Especially for imports.

Yea A1 can probably help you out, they have their own Honda junkyard, that you can't go into. They charge an arm and a leg for parts though.
Try posting up a WTB thread in the marketplace here and see if anyone has an iacv forsale, if not call A1.

Don't even bother with A1. They charge about the same, if not more, than aftermarket parts. Complete rip off.

They only usually have old stuff (like pre 1990 for imports)... never any integras of the year he is looking for

There has never been a 94+ teg at pick your part. Prob the newest teg i'v seen there was a 92...even then they are stripped the minute they are put out in the yard by the greasebags that buy parts to re-sell at their own shops/fixing up wreaks and curbing them. Seriously they go there every single day right when it opens and wait for the pick your part ppl to bring out the fresh cars.

try bucks right off deerfoot in the south...prices are super low and you basically walk in and rip off whatever. they seem to make most of their money crushing the cars so they dont give 2 shits if you rip the whole car appart and they always have imports by the entrance and domestics in the back

i know auto body shop in NE and there is one 94 integra that the front bump damaged. It is staying there a long time. i am not sure if they can part out that car.
I can give you his phone # and you ask directly to him.

thanks, but i found a couple guys selling complete intake manifolds, i'll just get one of those, use the iacv off of it and send the manifold to be extrude honed for some time when i start to pour money into my engine's performance.

154 wheel horsepower is enough for the time being... but when cams and a header go on i will do a bit of headwork and then toss the manifold on.

BUMP.

Anyone recommend yards for Euro cars? Volvo, specifically.

Try Picknpull/Bucks, they usually have a few older Volvos in the yards

Manchester Auto and Truck Parts is usually good for having some Euro's in the yard. Someone told me they closed though, I can't confirm that

I dont miss them at all, they used to hoard the euros and charge an arm and a leg for parts

I say give it a shot. 52nd street likes to keep cars longer than the Barlow PNP, I also found the 52nd street PNP is cleaner than the Barlow one.

52nd is definitely wayyyy cleaner than the Barlow one. I prefer going to 52nd if I can, the people at the front desk are much easier to deal with I find.

I agree with Thaco, the cars get stripped super fast or shit is taken apart for no reason and you find the parts all over the ground
