This summer I heard that they have drift meets in saskatoon. A guy told me they go out to credit union center and use the parking lot.
Is this true? or is there any other drifting in saskatoon?
Because I'm buying a new car asap, and I'm setting it up for drifing, and would liek to get into it. (btw, can anyone recommend a good rear wheel drive car for drifing for around 1500 or under)

only drifting that I can think of that happens here is drunk drivers peeling the shit out of their cars all over 8th street. Lame.

Hey thanx. I didn't know this was calgary based.
Any other car choices? 240's are a little over my budget here.
Anyone use 80's mustangs for drifting?

Hahah 6 hours open and his thread gets locked on 306. Too funny.

What happens at Credit Union Center is Auto-X. There is no drifting in Saskatchewan.

Recommendations for drifting? Uhhh...old Mazda B2200 pickup?! :D  Be sure to keep the bed unweighted too!

Hmmm...never knew of the 306 site. Gotta check it out now!

^don't bother checking it out. If you want to see Nazi mods who will ban you for stupid bullshit then that site is the place to be. Don't like the idea of posting your personal information on the internet?? Too bad...they'll ban you if you don't.

Lame site :thumbsdow

If you want to drift, the 240SX is probably the easiest to drift... it has a nice long wheelbase compared to the FC and 86, so it is more stable, and since its not as high strung as the FC it slides out more predictably and doesn't snap out on you
But if you want to autocross, get the FC since it's smaller and handles better if you arent drifting.

Yes, but that's only for the models equipped with the OEM drift button. :nut:

Save up more money and buy a 240sx thats in decent condition it'll last longer and you'll get more enjoyment out of it..

Lol yup, it's been deleted on 306. nazi mods is right. I got yelled at after making 2 posts for not having my name in my sig, and he threatend to ban me if I didn't put my first name and last initial in it :| :drama: . Then people started flaming the hell out of me because I am practising dirfting on snow before I move to cement.
Very screwed up place over there.
But it looks like I will have to save up for a 240sx. Sounds like a good all around car (for what I need)
Has anyone tried drifting in a 80's mustang or beretta? I can pick those up for very cheap.

Never tried drifting in the Beretta.... and don't worry about 306. They're not as nazi as they seem. It's just that it's a Saskatchewan forum and well... pretty much everyone knows everyone in the car community there, so it's just more of a personalized place to be. They're actually awesome nice people.

i'd say go with a notchback, with a 302, strip everything outa it and slap in a 4.10 rear end. you'll have so much fun ;D
