I'm BBQing at the moment, (Yes, its 30 (edit:6) celsius. Yes, its dark out. No, I dont care.) and while I'm waiting for the chicken to cook, I'm sitting at the computer. (what else is new?) Anyway, I was wondering, what's you'r favorite food to BBQ?

I usually do chicken, but it's hard to beat a BBQed steak.

Thanks for a great idea, I'll have to try that sometime.

One of my favorite sauces, for BBQing or regular indoor meals, is "Bone Sucking Sauce" I cant get enough of this stuff.

I dont know if they sell it in Canada, or if they do then I dont know if it's in Calgary, but if you can get it, try it. Its spicey goodness.

Edit: Here (http://ironq.com/bone_suckin_sauce_original.html) is a link

Haha, yeah, us Americans are cold sissies. Still, I can handle the cold better than most around here, must be the canadian blood in me:D Hence why I'm BBQing (in flip flops), when most around me have packed away their grills in their garage till next summer.

EDIT:Whoa!!!!
I seriously messed up my fahrenheit to celsius conversion. Just used an online converter, and its 6 degrees celsius! No wonder you thought it was weird. I was looking at the temps, and it said 50 degrees/33 degrees. I thought that it was fahrenheit/celsius, but it must have been the high/low temps, both in fahrenheit. I should have realized, because the numbers were to close together. You though I was talking about 80 degrees fahrenheit!!! Heck no, its about 44. I do live in the northern US.

I nice big salmon filet.

Wrap it in tinfoil along with 4 or 5 cubes of butter, 2 or 3 cloves of minced garlic, and a whole lemon sliced over top. Cook it for 40 minutes on med heat.

A side dish can be cubed potatoes with onions, garlic and butter.

Yummy

Ribs. Mmm. Barbequed ribs.

Technically grilling isn't barbeque... it's grilling. But that really only matters to die-hards. So, grilled steak is second... followed by damn near any other meat. Shrimp, marinated in icewine... salmon, chicken (honey-garlic wings!), of course burgers and dogs...

My mouth is watering just thinkin' about it!

A tip for my fellow rib eye fans, next time you buy your meat, ask the butcher (or look for) just a basic rib steak. It comes with a nice big bone and all the extra meat surrounding the rib "eye" and around half the price :)

My choices would have to be Beef and Pork Ribs. Homemade burgers are always good as well.

Just the thought of bbqing right now while I'm at work is making me hungry :(

I like all the standard stuff as well, but something that's slightly different is Schneider's Oktoberfest Sausages. These are really awesome. I like to BBQ them until some good grillmarks show and, the secret, BBQ them until they burst.

Look out for bit of splatter when it bursts and make sure you don't burn it too much beyond the grillmarks.

South Africans know how to have a BBQ.

RACK OF LAMB....... Wrap the ends of the bones in tin foil so they don't burn, rub the meat with some garlic powder and whatever spices you like, 15 mins or so on low usually gives a nice med rare inside. Man I want some now.
