Reseller Sales Tax ID#

I'm trying to setup an account with an American wholesaler and they're asking me for a Reseller Sales Tax ID#.

Does anyone know what the Canadian equivalent of this is?

ITs basically the American version of your federal business number (9 digit code). This number will be on all you corporate tax returns, GST returns, payroll remitance forms etc. You likely wont have an american one anyways, so its weird that they care.
