best bang for ur buck camera that takes professional quality pics. under 500 bux name some please, need it for chrismass gift.

To get "professional quality" pics, you need a "professional quality" camera. That'll be $1000+ for a new semi-professional camera such as a 350D or D70. True "professional" cameras range from that price up to around the $27,000 mark.

Now that we've got that out of the way, what features are you looking for? Most cameras can take reasonably good quality pics, but the features dictate the price.

Camera has little to do with professional quality pics... It helps, but you have to know how to take good photos in the first place...
