I mean if you REALLY want a 2001 GSXR, then unless it has very high mileage, you won't find anything that cheap. If you look into older years, you'll find "better deals", like 97-00 for about $6g-8g which probably will have less mileage than that! Average rider in Calgary does about 5k/yr, 20k/yr is if you commute to Edmonton and back everyday for work. I start to worry when a bike is 20-25k+ cause things tend to start requiring more maintence... You rarely see bikes in the 40+ range...

haha. My 1977 Yamaha 650XS has lower mileage than that....14,559kms. :D

You could always look for a slightly older bike with less mileage...

Just Curious, how much do you have for a bike?

I would pick it up if it's in good condition. Any older gixxer 600's are the old body style and not fuel injected. I have a '02 600 that I absolutely love, it's faster and handles better than any other 600 from that year. Anyway, mine is in mint condition, but I have 8500 kms. Most of those are from going to Manitoba to Saskatchewan. You can't tell me that 8500 highway kms. are gonna be as bad as 5000 city kms. Bottom line, that is a kick ass bike at a really good price.
