Anyone know where and what cost in the NE where to get a rad flush? My car is running cold cause of the weather and would like heat inside it.

hell, id do it for 10 bucks + fluid.
But there are tons of places that will do it. Even walmart does it.

well i just added fluid and that didnt warm it up. so i thought a very thorough flush through the heater core and what not would not only clean it out but warm the car up. am i wrong?

Thermostat might be stuck open.

Change that.

yup, change your thermostat :) unless there is no fluid at all in your rad, thats not the problem

Perhaps the info in this thread might help you determine why your car's not getting heat? http://forums.beyond.ca/showthread.php?s=&threadid=111394

When you did the rad flush, did you actually do a thorough flush or did you just drain and fill the fluid?

When I changed my fluid, I bought a bottle of rad-cleaner which I ran along with water for a good 30 minutes. I also made sure my heat slider was put all the way to hot and I drove around at high revs to make sure the stuff was circulating well.

After that, I drained it all out and so much gunk came out I did a couple more drain+fills with water before I was satisfied that it was clean enough for a final fill.

Well its not like my car is right cold....here i'll explain better

If i park the car and rev the motor at say 2000rpm the engine warms up at normal temp which is at 90 on the guage which blows very nice HOTT

Then i hear the fan turn on and the temp goes down to about 50-60 thats nice not too hot but warm enough by all means.

As soon as i start to drive the temp goes to 40 or below there's still heat but very little.

I hope that helps.

Could be the fan control as well.

lol...no the fan turns on after i have been reving it up to get it to 90 deg then as soon as the fan turns on it cools the motor

Anyway, go replace the thermostat!
