Hi there...

I have been advised on buying a cable that converts the red and white things into a single jack to plug into a CD player etc.

My dads Kenwood KDC3090r has a white and red hole in the back of the player which looks like an input - but not sure if it is an output. It says R and L on them.... Anyways I can find out?

its likely an output if its ALL thats there, can u find an "aux in" function on the deck? that'd b one of the only clues (unless u have the manual) to find out if the deck has an aux in or not, usually u'll see more than one set of rca's if it has inputs...mainly because a deck will have outputs as well as inputs, not just inputs

Sounds like an output.
