yep I've seen the show on TLC as well and it went through the whole thing about how they can control how high the waves are, how frequent they are, basically everything. The sand is special too but I forget why....doesn't stick as much or something.

sikome?? That ain't no beach, that's a pretty nasty lame sand trap!! ;)

Beaches out in Ontario are nicer than what we have here in Alberta. :thumbsdow

But yeah, love to have an indoor beach anywhere in Canada.. ahh the lost love of the Great White North.

And i thought West Ed was impressive for year round usefulness. This place has real sand  but it doesnt really appear to be in a cold climate, and one would assume (from the pics) the real ocean is less than a km away.:dunno:

I was going to say... did anybody see the REAL ocean right behind it? And it doesn't look like it's a cold climate to begin with, I can't believe that they would build that there!... And that people would pay to use it WTF?

West Ed is huge.... World Waterpark...

5 acres, tropical temps
wave pool
waterslides...

Second biggest in the world I think...

Meh, you need mad population density to justify something like that. Nobody will be stupid enough to build one in Canada when a real beach in Mexico is $1000 and 6-7hrs away.

BTW, this is more impressive to me.
