Ran my first 10Km race today. My previous best was 1 hr 23 mins running on my own. My goal was under 1hr 20 mins. I finished in 1 hr 14 mins 30 secs  . I can't believe it ! I knocked off over 8 minutes.

In 18 months I've gone from 310 lbs and out of breath after two flights of stairs to 236lbs and running 10K in under 1 hr 15 mins.
Not too shabby :) .

Good shoes help .I replace mine about every 400 kms (3 1/2 -4 months).
I also stretch before and after every run.
So far no injuries..:)
