I call :bullshit: on her story. Even the crappiest car with the crappiest brakes will slow/hold it to a stop even if the throttle got stuck wide open

ya, on a van like that, the brakes would have done something. she didnt touch the brakes then cause she panicked. :bullshit:

WTF?

Prosser, who requires a walker, estimated she was travelling about 15 km/h.

"I say it was a good 3 1/2 feet off the ground," Lallier said, adding the van appeared to be travelling at 50 to 60 km/h.

"I laid on the brakes, but it didn't do no darn good. I just went sailing. I took my foot off the gas, oh definitely. Something's wrong somewhere in Denmark, I can tell you that," Prosser said, adding she had planned to pick up a hamburger, fries and coffee when her supersized troubles began. "

What the hell does Denmark have to do with anything, she just shouldn't be allowed to drive.

If you require a walker, your legs do not move fast enough to stop suddenly should something get in your way. Not a chance. Sorry.

i believe it happened. I believe she should also pay for 100% of the damage she caused.

I'm not denying that it happened...I'm voicing my opinion that she should NOT have a license. About Denmark, if you remember high school, it's a Shakespeare thing.

Hahahaha, funny how she said she went sailing, but was only going 15km/h, she should lose her license. I think 50km/h is more like it, maybe a little on the high side since she didn't get many injuries, but probably at least 40km/h.

"Prosser, whose vehicle is equipped with an extra hand brake, said she couldn't avoid the McCrash."

It's the Sun, what do ya expect.

Once again, senior should be tested road worthiness every year for them to keep their license.

Politicians won't do anything to piss old people off because they are probably the only ones that have time to vote.

I just want to mention that humans are horrible at estimating the speeds of a car while standing stationairy. I would say the actual speed was between the 15 km/h she said and the 50-60km/h he said, however I bet it was closer to the 20ish mark. I could be wrong and the guy was dead on, but its proven that humans always over estimate the speed.

Aww come on, she just didn't want to line up to get her food and the drive thru was busy.

She decided to make her own drive thru.

Do you think he over estimated the 3 feet of air? It's was a van, I don't think it would get even 1 foot above ground going 20.

I think we have one forum member here that can provide some facts on how much air a van can get at what speeds?
