FS: 1994 VW Golf CL

I have a 1994 VW Golf CL for sale:

The Good-
-170,000kms
-minimal rust (very little on the hatch)
-strong motor
-good power (timing advanced a bit, runs fine on 87 octane)
-5 speed manual
-hella clear tailights
-winter tires (Michelin X-Ice) 70% tread left
-lowered 3" all the way around on unknown springs
-black
-2 door
-added a different cluster with a tach to replace the 7" quartz clock of d00m!


The bad-
-no stereo
-a crack on the side of the windshield

I am asking $3500 obo. Its an awesome car, nice smooth ride, good looks, hot air, cold A/C. The car is located in Red Deer, Alberta, but I am able to take pictures of anything you want. Thanks for any inquiries, I'll answer questions to the best of my abilities.

Unfortunatley, I couldn't take it to the carwash because the roads are to sloppy and it would be just as messy when I got back. I hate it when I can't clean the cars I sell!

Yes, it was actually about 2-3 months ago. It was already mentioned in the other thread (but there were problems that needed to be sorted out, and they were so this new thread went up).

my only concern would be the paint. Is it dirty? is it the pics? or is there some clear coat that has peeled away?

Its just very dirty :D I haven't been able to wash it because its below freezing out and the roads were sloppy, so it would get dirty again AND the doors would be frozen shut. Somebody is coming to look at it tomorrow though so I am going to wash it in the morning if anybody wants to see cleaner pictures of it.

Just for you Chester, I went outside and took some new pictures. They have been added to the first post, and the old ones have been removed. There is still some slight dirt on it due to me driving the car (I have to get around after all lol) but as you can see it is fairly clean now (and alot better rear hatch shot).

Can I see pics of the engine, by the gaskets?
Also pics under the car all along the frame (especially driver side from the looks of the 2nd pic near the rear wheels), by the oil pan, cv boots, and wheel wells?
Close up of the brake rotors.
If possible can you take picture of what the oil looks like on the dip stick?

That car been in any accidents? Had a rebuilt or salvage title?

I will see about getting you a picture of the engine bay, but I am not taking every single picture. The second pic near the rear wheel is DIRT, that is the little section of body panel/unibody that sticks down to jack on as a jacking point, and trust me, it ain't rusty LOL! The brake rotors are fine, they have GOOD braking power. The oil is about 1000km's old 5W30, it looks fine. It does not have rebuilt status, so it hasn't been in an accident. And finally, since you didn't PM me, you probably aren't really interested in the car, so like TAPOUT said, stop breaking my balls about getting a picture of every single thing on the car. Yes, I have taken about 20 pictures so far (alot more willing then alot of people), but pictures never do a car justice as we all know. If you want that thorough of an inspection the car is sitting in my backyard waiting for somebody to look at it ;)
