December 13th around 2:30 a good friend of mines 2000 Civic SiR got stolen from southcenter mall. He had a high end computstar alarm on it, so we are guessing an experienced installer or thief stole the car.
The car is Silver, with silver painted front grill, a silver windshield band across the top, and a greddy exhaust. (Im leaving any engine mods out). The car also has stock rims and no spoiler.
The license plate is EJS 705.
If anybody sees this car, or knows where it is, please contact the Police. Also the owner would probably appreciate a call letting him know his car is in one piece~Sean~852.2010
This car means alot to him. It's his first car and he hasnt even had it that long. Your help is appreciated!

Danm I thought the newer civics with immobilizers were somewhat tougher to steal? Hopefully they find it soon.

by any chance... wasn't 02 civics "chipped" with the microchips in the keys, therefore making it almost near impossible to hotwire without the key?
was it towed?

if it has autostart it might have a key or some sort of chip near the steering column right?

ya if it had a compustar remote start and the keys have a chip, i think you have to use a key in a box in the car for the remote start to work.

not 100% true. they have bypass modules now that dont require a spare key.

The bypass is in fact needed for the remote starter to work. Someone who knows what they are doing can probably use the wires at the bypass box to start the car. This is why the bypass box ought to be in an secure a location as possible.

It might help if you give us the actual year so people arent looking out for a completely different generation of civic.

dood do you just browse the forum trying to start "e-fights"? Every second thread I click on there is a retarded post by you. He made a mistake and he admitted to it, there was no reason for what you said.
I hope your buddy finds your car man. It might also help to list a few of the bigger mods so that people can keep and eye out for something trying to be sold.

I didnt say you dont need a bypass, what im saying is that you dont require the usage of a spare key. Most places the bypass box is place is still right under the dash, once again, if someone knows what there doing, they can trace the wires to see where the box in hidden, and just take the key to start the car.
