That's because it's a Michael Bay movie with a message. He's amazing at movies with total mindless action (ie. The Rock, Armageddon, Bad Boys 1 and 2), but a lot of people seem to have issues when his movies actually carry some sort of message. They're still awesome action movies, but with an actual message.

I think The Island was as good as any of his other movies, except Pearl Harbour but that was terrible), Great action. Scarlett was smoking. I didn't find her as good looking before The Island.

I bought that movie the other day. Did anyone notice that they fucked up on the sound selections in the menu?

On the cover it says English 5.1 In the actual menu on the DVD it says English 2.1 LOL...I was like, "WTF".

Good movie, though the only thing that bothered me was that the way they made it look "futuristic" was by ramping up the contrast in 90% of the shots, which looked rather poor in some scenes.

I totally was pissed about that, I thought I got the french disc or something. It was the first movie I got to play on my big screen, with all the digital/component wires all hook up and ready to go then BAM english 2.1. Awesome movie, very colorful and hard hittin action.

Scarlett is the queen b yo! She is HAWT, she really cought my attention in her first frames/shots.

I just watched it on the Plasma with the new surround system I bought yesterday, WOW, what a great movie for SFX and sound.....

BTW, audio setup default is 5.1 English since I did nothing and had true surround...

Apple won't put their computers in movies unless there's a close-up of the computer with the Apple logo. It's not considered unless that happens.

Plus, movies want Apple computers in their movies because they are seen as trendy and cool by the audience

yes it was an awesome movie,
did anybody here think of the ethical/moral borderlines when all the clones escaped?? Like what the hell are those clones going to do, there's already so much controversy on cloning and how it's illegal in many states. Like I'd feel bad to have to kill all the escapees, but at the end of the day they're still clones...

I thought this was a pretty sweet movie. She looks hot in the movie but damn does she ever sound like a man (when she is screaming). I liked the movie for its take on what problems can arise if cloning were to be made possible and the ethics of it all. The cinematography was very appealing too.
