I am looking for an armoir. Want a good quality (i.e. no Ikea) but don't want to get bent over either.

Is Ethan Allen a good place to buy quality furniture?

Ethan Allen has great quality furniture. However the prices are pretty insane for some pieces.

Have you checked out Pottery Barn in Chinook? They have some pretty nice furniture in the store and can apparently get their other lines brought in.

If you dont mind driving down to Vancouver with a truck Restoration Hardware is also pretty nice.

I went into potterybarn on friday, was not impressed. Felt like a high end Ikea.

Go to Faveri's on Heritage and 11th st. se. Buy something from a company name Huber's. Really good quality furniture and they are far cheaper than Ethan Allen. Huber's webiste is www.hubersfurniture.com Hope this helps, just don't buy anything from Ethan Allen. I sell furniture and you are paying for a name brand there, not quality. IMO

Ethan Allen is great stuff IMO, but you have to pay to play. It's pretty friggin expensive.

haha, don't get me wrong, I am not a snob about furniture. I just found at first glance that Pottery Barn wasn't anything special. Hell, my bed is on a steel frame right now.

But I figured that if I was going to invest in furniture, that I would check out all the options.
