I have heard that they are supposed to be pretty good. Bosch is now making their own version called the "Icon".

I bought them. They work pretty damn well actually. Cleaned up the mess that my old wipers left behind. IMO I think think they're better than the teflon wipers they had before.

i have had them for a year now. and i couldn't be more disappointed. they were aesome when i first had them, didnt leave streaks, went smoothly and quietly. But when the first winter rolled in.... the problems started. they became cold and the stupid adhesive on there was soo cold, it could not keep the rubber on it. i got it replaced at crappy tire no problem. after a bit, the other oen just stripped completely durign last summer and i have refused to buy any product for my automobile from crappy tire again.

I have them on my car right now.

I'd say I'm pretty happy with them, they wipe nice and clean with no bouncing, and they look a lot cleaner/neater than regular wipers.

I bought them with gift cards I was given, considering I paid $52.00 for them, I probably wont buy them again just because a perfectly clean windshield just isn't that important to me.:dunno:

i had them since summer, best ones i ever bought. but it still misses some areas of my windshield but it's due to the long cracks.

I was considering buying these too!

But paying $50 or so for a pair, seems too high compared to OEM inserts from Honda that are only $10-15 a pair. I might have to wait till they go on sale or something.

For those who have it does the rubber get really hard when it is super cold outside, causing streaks and chatter?

No, like I said in my post I've been quite surprised how well they do cover evenly.

I liked mine great at first. Especially since I got this set free (as a promo) to try and see what I thought.

First off, after a couple months they chattered whenever the windshield wasn't too wet.

Secondly, the height of them are insufficient to move any accumulation of snow on the windshield either when parked or during travel. The rubber does get hard in the extreme temperatures and does cause streaks. They do not perform quite as well as the 'Bearded Clam' on the Canadian Tire commercial claims.

Now, I know I probably should have just used the brush instead of being lazy and hit the wiper switch, but I didn't get a body like mine getting up at 6am and joggin' so I'm not about to go the extra mile for a little bit of snow, know what I'm sayin?

If I had to rate them, I'd say that I'd give em an 8.5/10 as a summer blade and a 5/10 for winter.

I got them, they work very well, there kinda struggling in the cold though, leaving a couple streaks, but still better than my ones from before, time to see how they survive the winter.

I decided just to stick with the OEM replacement inserts for my car. Far cheaper for only $10 for a pair

Can you say cracked windshield? What happens when water thats 60C hits a windshield thats sitting at -20C? Same thing as taking your car into a heated garage, crack. Time for a new windshield. I wouldn't trust those sprayer heaters, just get the -45C windshield fluid.

It would only crack if there's already one started. Nothing happens when you wash your car in winter

I had them on my old car and they worked great.IMO wipers is somthing you want to spend money on and get good ones. nothing worse then crapy wipers at night in the winter slush on the highway.

When I buy my next set I'll probably do the same. The Reflex ones are good, but no longer will I spend $52.00 on wiper blades:D

well, they arent too bad - time will tell how long they last.

for anyone buying the walmart ones, be sure to take the plastic rubber protectors off before using the wipers.

it was all chattery, and didnt wipe, and i was thinking wtf?

now all is well again! LOL

Whats the concept behind these wiper blades? Never heard of them before, I need a new wiper blade...bad!

?????

The newer bmw, benz, audis have them as oem wipers. I've had mine from wal mart for about 2 months now their still doing good.

Basically it's just a hingeless design thus preventing ice and snow from getting stuck in the space between the hinges. The blade design flexes and hugs the windshield that way, which apparently cuts wind resistance as well. (I'm just waiting for a ricer to proclaim these wipers to be a performance mod!)

I think it's a good concept, although I wish I would have bought mine from Walmart and not Canadian Tire. Definitely a better design than conventional wipers, just not worth $52.00.

If anyones considering it here, it's probably a good idea just go to Walmart:thumbsup:

^^ Thanks man, I'll look into these, hope they're not as expensive here. And hope they can fit cars with just a single wiper blade.

You might be able to get Bosch Icon blades in the UK.

Yea, but they will probably be just as expensive, eh?
How much are the th eIcons in Canada? About the same as the reflex?

They have Asda here (basically Wal-Mart but a different name), I'll try them first.

They're also called "valeo" blades. Found in the new Volvos. They're around $30USD each which is mucho dinero for wipers. I'd imagine the Bosch Icons to be at least $30CAD.

I just got the reflex wipers yesterday, and installed them today. Not sure if I installed them correctly though.

The 1/4" diagram shows basically nothing, and I'm not sure if I need that extra provided adaptor for it ... It seems to 'lock on' to the hooked end on its own.

Oh, and don't use a spring attachment for the wiper arm base itself. I got a pair last year to hook to the wiper arm base (suppose to add more pressure to the blades themselves to produce a clean wipe). I had to remove them for the reflex wiper to work properly.

Trying out only the passenger side and with the snow splat test - you know, grab some snow, splat it on the windshield - it seems to work  This is however all in a closed garage with no wind or anything.

Definitely a lot less streaks than before.

They actualloy work in this freezing cold weather? Mine were so froozen I ende dup snapping the connecting rod between motor and arm, not good :D:D

$11.78 each at Wal-Mart. Love 'me, they're going on all the cars now.

Damn. $15 at Walmart for us. Bought them anyways. Eliminated the chatter I had. Awesome.

Trico also has the hingeless wipers at Lordco. No idea on price, however.

Well, until we got the heavy snow last week. I thought they were pretty good. However, once there was some ice and snow build up on them, they aren't nearly as good as proper winter blades.
