Where to buy bells *ding a ling*

Where would I go to buy a bell that rings loud enough to hear from another room but not so loud that it cannot be drowned out?
I want to buy a bell for the puppy so I can train him to ring it when he wants to go outside.

I saw on animal planet once that some guy invented some type of device for cats to push when they want to go out, kinda like a door bell..
