5-CHANNEL HOME THEATER RECEIVER WITH DOLBY PRO LOGIC AND CINEMA DSP
The RX-V592 is a 5-channel receiver providing superb Pro Logic performance and processing and Yamaha's Digital Sound Field Processing, and Cinema DSP.

DISCRETE POWER TRANSISTORS
Discrete power transistors rather than IC chips are used in the amplifier section to provide the cleanest sound possible. The amp delivers 75 watts each to the three front channels and 35 watts each to the rear surround channels.

DOLBY DIGITAL READY****
Rear panel input jacks make this receiver easy to upgrade to Dolby Digital, the newest and most dramatic surround sound format for movies. The output of Yamaha's DDP-1, DDP-2, other Dolby Digital decoders, or the decoded output from a DVD or laser disc player easily plug into this receiver to create an up-to-the-minute receiver.

ACCLAIMED YAMAHA IC CHIPS
Yamaha's acclaimed YSS-203 chip provides Digital Pro Logic with full channel separation and no front-to-back bleedthrough as well as 35mm Cinema DSP.

10 DSP/CINEMA DSP PROGRAMS -- INCLUDING 35mm MOVIE THEATER CINEMA DSP*
Yamaha's exclusive Digital Sound Field Processing for music recreates the acoustic personalities of actual concert halls and other venues, such as the Roxy Theater in Los Angeles, Village Gate in New York, Anaheim Stadium, and concert halls and churches in Europe. 35mm Cinema DSP multiplies the effects of Dolby Pro Logic and Yamaha DSP to provide the best possible Pro Logic movie theater recreation in your home.

PRE-OUTS FOR ALL OTHER CHANNELS INCLUDING SUBWOOFER
* The front channels, center channel, rear effects channels and subwoofer all have pre-out connections. This allows you to add outboard amplification and direct subwoofer connection.

DUAL CENTER CHANNEL OUTPUTS
You can easily add a second center channel speaker. This is especially convenient for large-room systems or for those using a big screen or projection TV.

THREE AUDIO AND FOUR VIDEO INPUTS
* The RX-V592 is a versatile receiver incorporating three sets of audio-only inputs and four pairs of A/V inputs. Includes one set of A/V inputs on the front panel for fast and easy connection.

NEW LEARNING AND PROGRAMMABLE REMOTE CONTROL
* The advanced remote control with the RX-V592 has learning capability and can be programmed for up to 13 macros, so it can perform a sequence of functions at the touch of a single button. And the remote control can select speaker set A or B and adjust the subwoofer volume.

LOW IMPEDANCE DRIVE CAPABILITY AND IMPEDANCE SWITCHING Yamaha's famed low impedance drive circuitry is included in this receiver so that it can handle virtually all loads and a wide variety of speakers. For further speaker matching, the amplifier can be set for either 4- or 8-ohm speakers.

LINEAR DAMPING FACTOR CIRCUIT
The advantage of full range, 20 Hz - 20 kHz, damping is that it improves the definition and resolution of the sound output throughout the audible frequency range.

BASS EXTENSION CONTROL*
Accentuates the bass by adding a 7 dB boost at around 70 Hz.

40-STATION DIRECT ACCESS PRESET TUNING
Up to 40 preset AM and FM stations can be grouped in five groups of eight stations. These groupings make it easy for family members to easily access their favorite stations or to have musical genres, such as all the jazz stations, grouped together.

SLEEP TIMER
Switches unit off, after up to two hours of play in :30 minute increments.

A/B SPEAKER SELECTOR
Allows use of one or both sets of speakers.

BINDING POST SPEAKER TERMINALS
Yamaha's heavy-duty binding post speaker terminals accept banana plugs, spade connectors, and a variety of speaker wire, including heavy gauge cable.

Is this the same one another member was just selling?

Either way, what model year is it?

Model number was a typo on my part. It's a 99 model I think. Previous buyer bailed.

DOLBY DIGITAL READY - this means the amp does not have digital coax or optical in. You still require a outboard digital decoder or 5 RCA outputs from a source to get true surround sound.

The front channel amplifiers are rated at 75 watts rms, 20 Hz - 20 kHz, 0.04% THD, the center channel is rated at 75 watts rms, 20 Hz - 20 kHz, 0.07% THD, and the rear left/right are 35 watts rms, 1 kHz, 0.3% THD. This is a high-quality amp/receiver, perfect for those who wish to drive any two-channel speaker set, subs, or front speakers.

Bump for a wicked amp! I'm on my second Yamaha and I had this exact model. Will blow the doors off of any Sony, Kenwood, Techniques, JVC, Panasonic anyday.

Good luck

Just a note: if the Receiver isn't sold by Friday, I'm going to sell it on EBAY. The last V592 on Ebay sold for $189.98 (http://cgi.ebay.ca/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=5838919276) on December 12. I'm selling mine for $85.
