Why do people put down SOHC engines? It still runs 4valves/cyl, and quite often SOHC's have a much higher torque potential. Look at how they were making power back in the day with engines that had......get this.....NO overhead cams!!!

I thought 6g's was pretty cheap to get that kinda HP outa a 1.54L engine. What really cought my attention is that they went with a supercharger, not turbo. I always knew supers had great potential but it ofen seems like its the overlooked option for forced injection. (turbos are MAD popular)

well it is 6gs USD
plus the dude bought the civic in 89 so unless it took him 14 years to finish his project, i would say that the article's pretty old
factoring inflation and all that other kind of shit, i would say it's more like 30gs CDN hahahhaa, i have no fucking clue, just trying to sound smart
I dont think its that old but if it is then its still only about $7300 with inflation (USD). But the guy owns a nascar shop so most of the milling and machining would have cost him $0. Thats why at the end it says that he estimates it would cost $6000 US.

For 1500USD they wi take a Jackson Supercharger and rip it apart and smooth it out and itwill then Run 15lb of boost at the same heat as the nornal one would at 10lb. To bad it cost so much to send across the border and back. Be more like 3g.

actually, the reaon I was so surprised, was because was I had a SOHC turbo civic, it was awsome (not 487 hp awsome), but still a VERY fun car to drive...you would be hard pressed to find a bigger fan of SOHC honda motors on this board...GO SOHC:clap:
Endyn.... need I say more? I wanna see it on a real dyno.... With a roots blower.... yet? That is something I will HAVE to see to believe....
