THX bro, thats a bit far for me though. 512 might even do, someone on here had one for $50. 512 should be big enough hey?

yeah, download psp9 (i think that's what it's called), it's used to rip video files into files that can be played on your psp. but i think it can also compress files as well, ie. mp3's.

when you say mmc you mean memory card right? and no it's not your hard drive.

just used for storing your media. and imo your robbing yourself if you don't get the 1gig. 512 is all right if you wanna throw acouple mp3's on there but w/ the capabilities of the psp you most deffinitely need a 1 gig. plus you can download games straight onto your memory card

WOW never knew that. guess its worth it for 1gig. game data i heard uses a lot of space. if i want to put mp3s on there i just drag and drop right thru the cable.

Game data uses next to no space. MP3's are roughly 5meg each.

It's when you get into videos that you mem card gets eaten up.

It is a cool toy, if your able to downgrade to firmware 1.5 you'll really find lots of neat things to do with it

If you want the best deal for a psp memory card, go all out, and get a 2gb for 150$ off ebay

hows the sound when playing mp3 on psp thru earphones? i havent tested it out yet. is it easy to upload?

i think for the $, you get far more in a psp than a nano.

Keeping on topic here....

The sound is okay, It just doesn't get as loud as I would like. The screen is the big reason for buying the PSP so go out and buy a huge memory card and get some videos on that thing.

For Mp3's, you put the PSP on USB connection mode and just drag the files off your PC on to the E:, the PC should recognize the PSP the second you put it in USB mode.

Thanks for the input Cav. Hmm, is the low volume thing anything to be concerned about? You can adjust bass/treble im guessing? Not saying it has to sound the best, but if it can match an IPOD then i would be happy :)

I have heard an ipod only through FM so that gives me no clue what it will sound like.

You cannot adjust bass and treble but there is a music button where you can change between 5 different pre-sets. I find that "Unique" sounds the best.

If its straight up for music try to buy a 512mb stick off these forums, the price will be pretty good. If its going to be everything from homebrew to videos go with a 2gb :)
