What does everyone do to get their cash around here? And if you are already old, what was your first job? I am trying to figure out a good job, and how long it would take me to earn a good ride :thumbsup:

My advice, go to school finish your post-secondary education. Then you’ll the mad ends for your ride. That’s just my opinion, anyway my first job was at Safeway stocking shelves, lol. WTF

I work at Calgary Honda :thumbsup: My first job ever was at the Westhills Timmy's. Hahaha, I worked there for 8 months, then left when almost everyone else did. :tongue:

One thing i've learned.

Having a nice car in highschool doesn't matter.
If you need to, work a little part time on the side, 20hours a week and such, to earn a little spare bling, and try to save about 50% of that, if you can manage that through highschool, You'll have some cash to start looking at cars in University.

Anyways, my first job...was at....
:cry: McDonalds. w00t w00t. No matter what, dont EVER go there, it was the worst 2 months of my life. I almost got stabbed working there too. Currently, co-op is where i work...

Same here. LOL. As long as I'm in school (Columbia U right now), I get paid. If I stop going to school or working and sit around and do nothing, the money stops coming. So...it's like a job. Heh.

I'm in sales part time and I go to school full time as well.

I'm kinda wondering about all the money I'm spending on post secondary cause a friend of mine just graduated from DeVry with a Bachelor of Technology in Computer Information Systems and he's been looking for a job for the last two or three months. His loans are coming up for payment and if he doesn't find a job in his field he's gonna go work up in Ft McMurray on the rigs. BIG WASTE of $40K if he's working in the rigs!

Those tech schools are garbage. You need a REAL degree from a REAL school.

Remember the rule: It's 10 times as hard to earn money from having an honest clean job than getting a dirty illegal one.

Yes, I do have a clean job and I'd suggest starting as a custodian/janitor, sure it's not that great but beats being as a fastfood jockey and you get paid 2 or more dollars above the minimum wage.

In my second last week of my employment at my current job :clap: then I'm going into real estate beginning of April. I would suggest continuing with your education if you want to make the big $$.
