I thought the G35 was pretty hot when it first came out, now since 3 of my friends drive them they are....meh.The new one is very sharp, the interior looks like a cockpit, everything at your fingertips.

The current G35 is a smashing sales success and it competed with the previous generation IS. Reliability isn't everything.

Wow, have to say they did an excellent job staying true to the previous gen's shape while still enhancing the look of the car. Obviously as a concept I don't expect the production to be as aggressive but I definitely do like the headlights (closer to the M) and the accented shape on the side of the car. I'm not too fond of the rear though, I don't need my taillights to look pissed off, and the exhaust is pushed too far to the sides. Makes it look like if someone was making a funny face by hooking a finger on each side of their mouth and stretching it horizontally.

I'd expect the interior to be softened down as well, but I do like the overall effect. I see they stuck with the crouch cushion as well. Still haven't gotten sick of my current one yet though, so it'll give me another year to play =)

Ummmmm the IS isnt a coupe...... You cant compare coupes to 4 doors as "rivals". Coupe to coupe the SC430 is a whole different league than the G35 coupe.
