My friend has a 9800 pro 128mb agp that he is looking to sell. Im not to sure how long its been used for. If you can't get what your looking for pm me and I will ask him about it. He will probably let it go for about 130$

I'm having a hard time justifying over $100 considering Geforce 6600's are just as fast or faster.

Well if it were up to me I would probably let it go for about 100$ but it is my friends and he is pretty firm on that price. Even though it is an AGP card it is still a high performing card. I have seen this card sell from 125-150$ on these forums.

Ok...

6600gt's are $169....and regular 6600's are even cheaper. I don't know where you get your figures from, but I suggest you start looking in other places.

So you still think Dave's a cheap-skate and $130 is a good deal for a card that does a fair bit less than the 6600GT does for $40 more, brand new with warranty ;) ? That would be $40 well spent I think.

The 9800Pro is an awesome card for most, but at $130 is a little expensive when the 6600GT's are coming down in price this fast. Amazing how fast these things depreciate, isn't it?

No problem. And I'd snap that one up before it's gone.

Just 1 month ago I bought a brand new, retail boxed All-in-Wonder 9800 Pro from Futureshop for $199. How does a used, plain-jane 9800 Pro still sell for anywhere near that? Considering it is not an All-in-Wonder, and it has no warranty...

If a new All-in-Wonder 9800 pro is $199, than a used All-in-Wonder 9800 Pro would probably be around $130-140. That would make a run of the mill 9800 pro worth at most $100.

Just watch Futureshop, these go on sale regularly, almost like clockwork, for $199.

Just my 2 cents.

You either take the best deal someone gives you or go out and buy a 6600. simple as that. No use wasting time in stupid discussions like these.
