can anyone tell me if this is a good wireless network card?
D-Link AirPlus Xtreme G 108Mbps Wireless PCI Adapter (DWL-G520)

im no expert on wireless networking, but I would like to have a card that can support all the standards available, like 802.11b, 802.11g, if not can anyone else recommend me a good one?

Yeah i've got that card in my comp right now, and its sweet. Although i haven't had any other card before either. But i really like this card.

Good choice. I have the same in one of my PC's at home in a room where I can't get a cable to.

Unless you have a router capable of transferring at 108mbps, might as well stick with a regular 54mbps card, if it's cheaper.

Most highspeed Internet connections won't utilize anything faster than 10Mbps...

True but 10Mbps is fuggin slow for LAN.
I have that card, it is quite good, however it is only 108Mbps if you are using a Dlink Airplus wireless router, otherwise it is only 54Mbps.

Oh and follow the recommended installation steps, I found them to be order specific on my computer for some reason.. Driver first then install the card :dunno:
