If I get really hungry, I'll chew on my fingernails and the skin off my lips.

I realized that I was spending on average $8-10/day at work on lunches... With that said I started to pack a lunch from home....

My usuals:

Apple and Oatmeal bar for breakfast, or apple and cheesebun
If I am really daring I bring a few eggo waffles and give em a run in the office toaster.

Turkey Sandwich on 12 Grain Wheat bread... Sometimes with bacon, some times with pickles, each day is a surprise...
Usually have some sort of snack, be it crispers, crackers, a couple cookies etc and a can of fruit or peice of fresh fruit.

I will occasionally bring a cup of soup or a microwave dinner if i am feeling lazy the night before.

1 Chicken Breast + 1.5 cups of peas

I eat that for 3 of my meals. Good stuff, and very healthy.

I've started bringing a lunch to work again. I just got tired of the garbage food available withing a 10KM radius of my work (besides Max Boosts Joint of course but cant eat there every day).

So yeah, I went to the local Sobeys in McKenzie and bought a dumpload of wraps and 5 different varieties of deli meat. 3 turkeys, 1 chicken and one roast beef. Bought some Havarti Cheese, and a bag of salad. Make wraps. It's awesome, somewhat decent for ya, and taste great (because thats what blows serious asshole about eating healthy is it often tastes bad and costs more. You can go to Wendys and get 2 jr bacon cheeseburgers, a biggie fry and a biggy coke for 6 bucks...or a wilted salad.) I can make 2 hearty wraps, and bring a fruit or vegetable, plus a drink (usually water or the odd sugar free soda) for a combined cost of less than 2 bucks. Hell of a deal in my opinion.

Plus it's low carbs, a good thing for those of you who sit for a lot of the day.:whipped:

I'm with Ben on this one. I used to spend massive amounts of money at MacEwan food court here at the Uni, until I realized the rapage that was happening to my wallet. Now I bring wraps, with homemade tortillas (usually sundried tomato or whole wheat flour based) nonetheless. Just toss some chicken or turkey or even tuna onto that bad boy with some lettuce, a little salt n pepper, maybe some diced veggies, maybe some low-fat mayo if you want. Tastes great, is healthy, and, as Ben noted, cheaper per meal than buying food court shiz.

Homemade lunches = win, both in health and money
