Average . . $100K plus taxes ..

I think they start at only mid-$80G but U know Porsche . everything is options ... power seats .. hi fi .. so .. $10-15K options is a must for all porsche .. some Porsche got over $50K in options ..

First 5 of them they ordered for customers .. all around $100K + taxes .. good value .. save a Golf GTI money from buying a 911 .. :D

No shit the options are expensive!

This is part of a 996 option list that's a few years old but still indicative of what options cost.

That is ridiculous. $1240 for a shift knob and handbrake? $750 for different colour seat belts? $990 to lower the seats 1cm?

I think there comes a point, when it's not bling anymore. It's just stupidity.

And that is for the 996 few yr ago .. they charge more now .. like 5G for triptronic ??

Can't compare to Asian cars .. even ?BMW / Benz's optios are way cheaper ..

But hey .. A Porsche is a Porsche is a Porsche!

Comepare to Ferrari / Lambo .. options on Porsche become cheap! :D

Do some engine mods and those'll work over a 911 on a track. Already better at slalom.

Drool.

Yes..I love those..simple , fast, looks good...its a shame the 911 is becoming such a huge beast. As for the options pricing, ever wonder how Porsche is the most profitable automaker in the world? Thats how.

IMO.. The cayman looks like the 911 and boxter fucked each other and thats what came out... I don't like it personally speaking.. :dunno:

About 10 years ago I was speaking to an owner of a 1994 Turbo 3.6 (the same car in the movie Bad Boys).

He was telling me about all the leater options he put in the car, and there was about 15 grand in extra leather alone! Such as heating vents covered in leather, radio volume knobs in leather etc.

It seemed a bit excessive to me.

I didn't know the owner on a personal level, just bumped into him while he was in Calgary. The car was red with Texas plates on it.

There was an "Oak Green" one in Calgary a few years ago for sale, then it ended up in Victoria for sale at a benz dealership.

Then there was Larry Rickmans grey 3.6 turbo...but haven't seen that one around for many years.

haha, I love the 3.6 turbos too. I thought all the new porsches after the 3.6 turbo are too soft, till the GT2 came out of course. Everything inbetween is too easy hehe.

:) :) yeah yeah ... 993 GT2 is the very best ..

Well .. but they have to make those cars for daily drivers ...

I always want a 964 3.6 T ... pure pure wild animal!

but all of the nice one are still going for ~ $80K .. :banghead:

because they are boxer rims on a car that is a boxer with a hardtop

Actually that's weird...the Cayman is *supposed* to come with its own rims, not Boxster rims.

the cayman has 4 rim options, including those ones.
