I am looking for new tires for my 1996 Corolla Plus. I always like Michelin tires but they are quite expensive. I have my eyes on the hydro edge and it cost $125 each. My brother told me Good Year Assurance is also very good but it costs even more ($134.99) , anyone have any suggestions? I already checked out costco, walmart, canadian tire, OK tire, Kaltire, Fountain Tire and also Tireland. Any help is greatly appreciated! :poosie:

Try Tiretrends or 1010Tires.

Local guy selling online. Talk to Harry, tell him Bob with the blue 330ci sent you. Super nice guy, and great pricing. He can give you a few options so you can think about what you really want before you buy.

Bought 2 sets of wheels/tires from him already, and it's easy every time.

I have the assurance as my "winter" tire, didnt go for a straight winter because its been so dry and not wintery here, so its not too bad for dry handling. For winter its great too for staying sticky with the slippery.

If you can afford it, go for it. For mounting/balancing etc it cost just over 600 for 205/55/R16.

Just bought some Goodyear TripleTreads for my girlfriend's ZX5... awesome in snow and rain, plus they look great... cornering suffered a bit, as we had to go to a larger sidewall: they make a 205-55R16 but not a 205-50R16 (stock size).
