just think of how much extra attentino and care u gotta put in to condition those wheels every day?

i'll ahve like a checklist and daily schedule to polish up and check for scratches and chips on the rim.

titanium are rust prove right?

I wonder that they'll retail for?

Hmm I'm not feelin it. The burnt titanium rainbow look is ok in small doses, such as on an exhaust tip, but having a huge rainbow lip on all 4 wheels is tacky IMO. It's like taking a step towards that nasty chameleon paint that you see on Camaros all the time.

well think of it this way, using aircraft as an example. Typical aircraft use aluminum alloy as body structure, and weight is critical for both takeoff, flight maneveur, and landing performance. So more and more aircraft are switching to using titanium alloy into body. For extra body strength and stress, and of course weight-saving; therefore increase performance.
But i don't know if this example really valid here. Cuz it two different type of application.
But every ounce counts.

well you talking about figher planes or aircrafts..

Cause they use alot of Cf in figherplanes, and i thought it can be stiffer and lighter then titanium?

Lo)2enz0
01-20-2006, 12:54 AM
umm not feeling it. how much extra do you think these would cost compared to the standerd version of these wheels.

personally i wouldn't justify it right now. wheels are wheels and if i screwed those up i would be pissed.

hmm i'm not sure about CF, but i know they are stiffer and lighter then titanium... however when the aircraft does need to be flexed, i believe the CF is more brittle in relative to the titanium. But thats jsut my logic of seeing it. I could be wrong :D
