Finally decided to pay a visit to Las Vegas.

Out of these places where would you stay?
Flamingo
Aladdin
Circus Circus
Golden Nugget

and we are going for 5 days what would you recommend to see or recommend that I have to visit while there?

Aladdin for sure. Nice rooms, best buffet in the city (IMO). Good location (across the street from Bellagio, Paris, etc.)

Things to do (other than the obvious Casino Hopping/Gambling):

- Grand Canyon day trip
- Hoover Dam Day trip

:werd: Out of those choices I would stay at Aladdin for sure. I wouldn't b caught dead at Circus Circus and the Golden Nugget is on Freemont.

The Aladdin buffet is awesome  definitely give it a try.

We rented a car and a few of the outlet malls, was a nice little break from the casino's. Got to spend some of our winnings :D

I would also recommend doing some of the shows in Vegas :)

I've stayed at circus circus before...cozy...if you dont mind fearing for your life! It's a total dive and just about everyone staying there looks like such a hardcore ganger. I'd steer clear if I were you

How about Treasure Island? It's pretty cheap.

I found that treasure island was full of young annoying screaming kids....

And :werd: for Aladdin best buffet EVER

And the Hoover damn is always something to see...but only once. Also, if you have the extra cash....go see the blue man group. It is awsome...but fairly expensive, and you have to get your tickets in advance. WELL WORTH IT THOUGH.

Aladdin was a pretty nice hotel
I stayed at Treasure Island and its true, their hotel is full of little kids
their night show definitely isnt for kids though

recommendations - visit Bellagio and Ceaser for sure
extremely nice hotels (if time check out more of the hotels just to see how they are)

watch hotel night shows
go to the outlet malls
strippers
magic shows/concerts/cirque du soleil
clubs

there is plenty to do to keep you busy for 5 days

Here are my picks for the most fun in Vegas.

Best Club

Pure at Caesars
http://www.caesars.com/Caesars/LasVegas/Dining/BarsLounges/PURE.htm

Best Gentlemans club

Spearmint Rhino (Hands down, the best!)
http://www.spearmintrhino.com/

Best place to eat

Max's Cafe in the Aladdin - Great food at a super affordable price. Anything on the breakfast menu was $3.99 and two for one beers. Anything on the dinner menu was $6.99 and two for one beers. Similar to The Met, Joey's or Earls here in Calgary.

Best Show.

O - Cirque du Soleil

Just remember that a lot of these clubs are not open during the week.

But why stay at the Bellagio? Its about $400 more for a package and its no nicer then say the Aladdin, plus you really are never in your room. Thats $400.00 you could use for booze:bigpimp:

Be careful with expedia, they are never direct flights through them. That site is a joke.

I suggest this company www.conquestvacations.com

Click on the 'bookonline' link and put in your dates. Much better then Expedia.

^^^^^ listen to him
non direct flights to vegas were tiring and a bitch
flying non-direct to vegas was more painful than flying overseas

also right about hotel rooms
you shouldnt be spending much time in your room at all
i was in the room for sleep only and that was for only 5hours a night

Expedia was great the last few times I have booked with them I just came back from vegas 1 week ago and my flights were direct and prices are great.

I've stayed at quite a few of the hotels in Vegas (Caesars, Mirage, Treasure Island, MGM, Bellagio, Luxor, Mandalay Bay and Venetian..and probably a few others..) but it honestly doesn't really matter where you stay because you won't be spending much time in the room..and all rooms feel pretty much the same unless you're getting a suite. I rather stay in a more avg hotel + spend the money eating, shopping and gambling...though I wanna stay at the Wynn next time..see what's so good about it..

Forum shoppes is def fun..!

Not true at all. If you are going with a group of guys then you can easily afford the two bottle minimum ($500) to reserve a table. When you reserve a table there is no line-up ;)

Even if you can't afford the reserve, you can still get in. We never waited more then 30 minutes to get into a place. Just get there early. The great thing about waiting in the lines in Vegas is you can drink:bigpimp:

I vote for aladdin as well..... But my recommendation for the best standard room in vegas would have to be THEHotel at mandalay bay..... It was amazing.... has a modern look.... 40" plasma, 2 additional tv's, one in the bedroom and one in the bathroom. The coolest part is there were two washrooms.... i think the size was about 700 square feet......

Ballys is good IMO. Normal rooms but pretty cheap. The hotel itself isn't spectacular, but the location is great. Across from Bellagio/Ceasars and next to Alladin (shops/good buffet) and attached to Paris. Also across from Barbary Coast if you feel like slumming it out!

afterhours @ the barbary coast haha. TAO is also a very nice night club as well.

I find that booking through expedia is not always best..... Go to websites like www.lasvegastalks.com and you can find deals for hotels in which book directly with them.... Hotels tend to have promotions, quite often.

Went to vegas 2 or 3 times, the tropicana is nice allthough older but the pool area is amazing having like 3 pools, a swim up bar and also a 18 and over only pool with waterfall. rooms are very decent as well. also for a cheap nice room not too far from the strip texas station is not a bad little spot either maybe 5 min drive from the strip. any of the cirque du soleil shows are amazing, circus circus is a fun amusment parc if your into that stuff. and tangerine looks to be a sweet spot at the treasure island hotel, it's by the water and is I think considered somewhat of a burlesque type of club. the mgm grand seems to have some decent spots in it and so does the wynn hotel (allthough seems to be quite upper clase in the Wynn)

and for places to visist in vegas the maserati and ferrari dealership in the wynn

there is also what is called a hawaian street market on the strup about 10 minutes walk down from the tropicana has some cool shit for sale. funnest place to visit if your over 21 IMO have fun whoever get's the chance to go there.

The "BEST" afterhours club in Vegas is Drai's. We were taken there by a local.

Tropicana is def a really good hotel. There is 3 pools, one which is open 24hrs! Good service and close to the MGM Grand and the strip.

The disadvantage...5 min walk just to get to the elevators through the hotel!

Best way to do vegas IMO was during our second time. We rented a Time share place in the Jockey Club. The JC is on the south side of Bellagio and basically the best spot on the strip to be at. the room we got Included a Master bedroom, an ensuite bathroom, a second bedroom, second bathroom, kitchen, dining room and a living room. Living room also had a pullout bed. Best things about this was we could eat cheap if we had to, had a fridge for booze, lots of beds and 2 bathroom incase one was being "used" haha. 6 guys it tends to happen.

All in all the total cost of the trip was 500CDN each for 6 guys for 1 week. We also rented a Minivan and drove down. Best way to do it right there.

I was actually talking to a friend about driving down on a 2 week road trip.

What sort of costs are associated with the mini-van rental?

Going down to Vegas in April for a couple days as a side trip from our place in Scottsdale, Arizona. Probably going to be more of a shopping trip than anything. Staying at Bellagio.

Then, in July I am going down for a friend's wedding at Caesar's. Should be a good time, but its going to be freakin HOT!! We even get the big 10% off at Caesar's because we are with the wedding party
