Looking to buy a 92 protege se with 213,000 km. I was just wondering if these are reliable cars and what I should look for when purchasing this car. Any common issues? the good the bad?
Anything will help!
They are relatively relaible cars. For that year/km's I wouldn't be paying much tho...

That is one ugly car -- sorry --- It's one of the few cars I truly hate the look of --

Looks like a ford escort. Probably is. Don't pay more than $500 for it.

They are ford escorts.
I had a Protege GT (92 I think) for a few months while I was between cars. No 3rd gear
Check for oil consumption, I had to fill oil with gas. Otherwise it got me around for a few months which is all I could ask of it.
Just don't lean on it or sit on the hood. The body panels are as thin as paper.
